I'm making this thread to spread awareness about Bernie Sanders. If you don't know anything about him, hes running for the Democratic nomination to be the next President. He's been an independent politician his entire life, and he in general pwns everything.
Even if you aren't interested in politics, take a little time to hear his message, as what he is talking about is most certainly affecting you and your family in many ways. After learning some things about him, you yourself might want to spread the message about Bernie.
In this thread, I'm gonna be posting things (mostly videos) showing Bernie pwn everything, including politicians, media, and ideas. You are free to post your own Bernie related content, or talk about Bernie's ideas/the presidential race as a whole. Just don't hate on other posters.
Bernie goes to a Christian conservative college and gives a speech + answers questions. Its a long speech (speech is from 0:48:00 to 1:38:00), but its amazing how he manages to address people with such different opinions than him.
This is a small section of the above video (in case you don't want to watch the entire thing). Bernie is put into an extremely tough position by being asked about "protecting the most vulnerable, the babies inside of the womb" in front of a christian college.
The Wall Street Journal tried to bring Bernie down by writing an article where they added up the total cost of his proposals over a 10 year period and said "this is how much these proposals will cost" in an effort to frighten people. They added up the total costs to 18 trillion dollars, but what they failed to include was how much his proposals would save and the fact that the important thing is how much it costs per year, not in one big lump sum.
After that, the economist that the WSJ cited for their information wrote a letter in response to their original article. He pointed out how the WSJ failed to put his conclusions into their article. In his conclusions, he pointed out that while Bernie's health care for all plan would cost 15 trillion over 10 years, it would actually end up saving the country 5 trillion dollars because its overall less expensive than private health care. And that 5 trillion is more than enough to make up for the rest of the 3 trillion dollars for Bernie's proposals. Rekt.
