To win in anything, including fast track, don't read tutorials or get someone to train you.
To win just play against the pros.

I advise people to think twice about doing as he says

For once, this is not my post. Probably Akali. Anyways, what he says actually isn't half bad. But definitely check out the tutorials for gifs and double binds ;o

deep bro,
Smurf was correct this was me, but my advice isnt shit.
most people on tron got good by doing as I advised to do and not following your tutorial and I am slightly offended that you had the audacity to rename my topic to how-not-to-win while most people including the people on fast track got where they are today NOT by following your tutorial but by playing against the real good pros like mike and durf etc.

Watching pros play is good advice to get better, but you said to not follow tutorials or get trained by someone, which is incorrect. Following pros is fine, but getting advice directly from pros helps speed up the learning process. What you could have said instead, was play against/watch pros in addition to getting tips from them. The reason I said it was not conducive to winning, is because you rejected a perfectly valid method of improvement, whereas using your method and my method is more conducive to winning, since you learn faster with both. Thanks for the tip, though

True, I could have phrased it better, but getting all passive aggressive and changing the title of the topic was not the best course of action to take.

I initially planned on changing the title because it uses the same name as my How-to-Win series, and I didn't want others to think that this was part of that series.
However, when I saw that this post was supposedly made by smurf, I thought it was another one of his semi-trolling attempts, instead of an actual tip. If I knew it was you, and that you were being serious, I wouldn't have changed the title to How-(Not)-To-Win.
Sorry for the misunderstanding (and don't impersonate others on this forum >.>)

In response to your opinion:
Playing against "pros" is fine and dandy when they play nice with you and give you pointers when you need; or they specifically do moves that force you to practice certain skills.
However, a "pro" can easily make the choice to not give a shit and simply pwn you to a point where you would just rage-quit.
It's like trying to learn math by taking a bunch of math tests...Sure you'd learn something, but it would be much better if you were taught how to do math before jumping into a test.
Similarly, it's better to have been taught "how to tron" before jumping into a fight with your single binds.
To learn how to win without the need of any assistance, requires immense observation skills. Even then, most people don't even know what to look for. Having a guide, at least, can help you achieve a higher skill level, in a shorter amount of time.
All this being said, it makes sense how this post is "how-no-to-win" since it seems counter-intuitive. But I can also see how having your own topic renamed is a bummer. I can ALSO also see how having someone try to post into a set series of posts (like a blog) with their own ideas can ruin the 'flow' of the whole thing.
If you posted from something that wasn't a guest account, people would listen. If you could support what you say with some reasoning (instead of just flat out claims) then perhaps your topic would be taken more seriously.
What I find hilarious is that you think this: "most people on tron got good by doing as I advised to do and not following your tutorial" (your second guest-post) Care to tell us how YOU got so good? ;P

I got good by responding to every question with a sexual innuendo and only sometimes doing heroine. Also Durf, in response to your "a "pro" can easily make the choice to not give a shit and simply pwn you to the point where you would just rage-quit." You would learn a lot more if they DID go as hard as they can because if they do their hardest then eventually when you play with them enough you will learn their playstyle and start to predict them. The hardest point for noobs is basically the rage-quit part... Anyways, as D33P has previously stated it would be much better to combine our ways of getting good (D33P's being the tutorial thing, and mine being the heroine).
All a noob needs is a little encouragement, so when you see someone who's about to ragequit just respond with a simple "Suck Less."
