Step 1: Create a new bookmark (we are making a "bookmarklet"t
Step 2: Name it wha-dever you want. (Like "FTads")
Step 3: Paste the following code for the URL:
javascript: var drf1 tocument.getElementById("bottom-ad-banner"); var drf2 tocument.getElementById("top-ad-banner"); drf1.parentNode.removeChild(drf1); drf2.parentNode.removeChild(drf2); void 0;
Step 4: Whenever you are on this website, click the bookmarklet to remove the ads from the current page!
.... I may be able to do this as a Chrome Extension, or Greasemonkey script (firefox). Which would be better since it would automatically do this for you when you visit the site. I'll let you guys know when I've made that, but for now this can remove ads for you.
/me is enjoying ad free forums!

Done! The userscript is here: Click to install- click continue (view the source code first if you want, its not big enough to do anything malicious) - click install (it doesn't actually see your data on all websites, that's just chrome's default warning) If you are on FireFox, you will need GreaseMonkeyIf you are on Chrome, it should install automatically like an Extension, if it doesn't, then you can get TamperMonkey to do it. If you're on another browser, let me know and I can help you install this extenstion / addon...this userscript. Source code is available here so you can see that it is exactly like the bookmarklet (no malicious code) and (because of the top section) it only runs on this website!

I gave the extension an update. (same link as last post) It removes a square ad as well.
Also, it now puts a background image in the top banner! (If you have a better background picture, share it here and I'll update to the best onet

I pushed another update. Just a bug-fix (it didn't remove some square ads, now it does).
Use the same link to update

Unfortunately, Chrome is dumb and disables any extensions that don't come from the Chrome store, and there's no way to allow it (unless you got it on the chrome store >.>)

That's odd, I can use it just fine. Try saving the .txt version on your comp, and change the file extension to ".user.js". Then in chrome, type "chrome://extensions" in the address bar and hit enter. You should be able to drag the .user.js file onto the window, and your cursor should have a "+" (plus) symbol (like it always does when chrome thinks you're trying to open the file). ...just read this: How to install Extensions from outside the Chrome Web Store

Yes I did that, but after a day, it disabled it.

o.o
idk why that would've happened. In the linked tutorial, the shortcut editing part would make sure that every-time you launched chrome using that shortcut, it would allow custom extensions.
Shitty that it gets disabled. I blame windows. I just install it and it works non-stop.
